The newly-formed Epic Poker League caught a nice break this week when CBS announced they will broadcast 20 hours of coverage from the league as part of their weekend fall lineup. In addition, a new Discovery-owned cable network targeting the affluent male demographic named Velocity will also air coverage as well as repeat telecasts. Both networks will release specific airing dates for the Epic Poker League in the fall. The Epic Poker League was founded by Annie Duke and features the top 200 players in the world based on a predetermined statistical criteria. The league launches with a $20,000 buy-in at Palms in Las Vegas with $400,000 added to the prize pool.
